About

Reared in Ohio, cut my teeth in New Orleans, and currently living in Los Angeles, CA. I grew up with a strong passion for the natural world and luckily never lost it. Most days you might spot me carrying our twin girls on a hike, running with my deaf Dalmatian, or marveling in the minutia of everything outdoors.

Cinematography

I have collaborated with institutions like Tulane University to film Leopard Frog Research, Professor Bios, and Environmental Law Summit Speakers. I have worked with Matisyahu, Ron Pearlman, and various other talent to produce Music Videos, Commercials, Electronic Press Kits, and Short Films. My abilities in multiple fields and knowledge of cinematography, sound, editing, and color-correction has enabled me to create content from concept to final release of a production.

Current Work

I have worked in the camera department of the film industry for 15 years on titles such as Django Unchained, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Terminator: Genysis, and many more. Between features, television, commercials and documentaries, I have used a multitude of cameras ranging from 35mm film to 3D video. As an IATSE Local 600 1st Assistant Camera, I have managed multiple teams on series shows, been responsible for million dollar camera packages traveling all around the world, used specialized gear like underwater housings and spray-deflectors, and customized cameras daily under high pressure environments to get the shots needed. This work has given me a well-rounded understanding of the equipment necessary to achieve many of the highly difficult shots when working with nature and it’s many complexities. I'm looking forward to applying my vast knowledge of filmmaking to our next project together.
